Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of BabelCast, a product of LucidWave, LLC (“BabelCast”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or joining a session, you agree to them.

Using the service

You may use BabelCast to broadcast and translate live events in accordance with these terms and your plan. You are responsible for the content you broadcast and for obtaining any consents your event requires.

Plans, billing & fair use

Paid plans bill by the source-hour — following detected speech, subject to a 50% live-session minimum — as described on the pricing page. Each concurrent live source is metered independently. Listeners are free, subject to reasonable fair-use limits intended to prevent abuse; we may apply concurrency limits for very large audiences.

Credits and how they are used

BabelCast is prepaid. Live sessions draw from credits held on your organization’s account, and we do not bill you for usage beyond what you have funded — a session stops cleanly rather than running up a balance you never agreed to.

• Your plan’s monthly included allowance renews on your subscription anniversary and does not roll over — unused included time expires at each reset.
• Bonus credits granted when you first subscribe have no cash value, cannot be transferred, are not separately refundable, and are forfeited when paid access ends.
• Credit packs you purchase roll over and do not expire while your account is open.
• Usage draws in this order: monthly included allowance, then bonus credits, then purchased credit packs.

Trials

A free trial begins at your first live translation session — not when you create your account — and runs for 7 days or 60 source-minutes of translation, whichever comes first. During the trial you may run 1 live source at a time, up to 10 minutes per session, with up to 10 listeners and up to 4 translated output languages at once. Repeat sessions are allowed. A confirmed email address is required; no card is required. When a trial limit is reached, translation stops cleanly and we show you the options for continuing.

Refunds and cancellation

• You may cancel a membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your entitlements remain active until then. We do not refund the unused remainder of a term that has already begun, except where the law requires it.
• A credit pack that is entirely unused may be refunded in full within 30 days of purchase — contact us and we will remove the credits and return the payment.
• Once any part of a credit pack has been used, that pack is no longer refundable as a matter of course. Write to us and we will review the circumstances. We will never settle a refund by leaving your account with a negative balance.
• Credits you have purchased are yours permanently. If you cancel a membership your credits remain and stay usable, but your organization reverts to pay-as-you-go limits — concurrency, simultaneous languages, and plan features follow your current membership, not the credits. Credits are not tied to the plan you bought them under, so keeping a tier’s capabilities means keeping that membership.
• Refunds are returned to the original payment method through our payment processor, Stripe.

• No attempts to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service
• No resale without authorization
